Moonestone Farm - Sales Consignment

In the past Moonestone Sales has offered many quality horses at auction.  In both good economic times and bad, Moonestone has always  represented clients very well at auction, maximizing sale price while minimizing costs.  In the depressed market of 2009, Moonestone sold the 2009 Keeneland Sale Saturday session topping filly for Book 3.  The grey daughter of TAPIT out of MAYAN MILAGRA (Hip 1568, Keeneland Sept. 2009) sold for a strong $330,000.  (Read more from The Thoroughbred Daily News).

Also in 2009, Moonestone consigned a group of yearlings to the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York Preferred Sale.  Again, in a depressed market, Moonstone sold 100% of the yearlings offered for clients.

In 2007 Moonestone Sales sold the sales topper at the New York Breeders' Sale.  The colt, pictured to the right, is by Eurosilver out of Shotgun Frances.  This well made dark bay colt sold for $85,000 to Niall Brennan.

Moonestone Sales also sold the sale topper in Book 3 at Keeneland November in 2007.  That  colt was by the successful sire, Street Cry, out of Cannons Crown.  Owned in partnership with John Stuart's Bluegrass Thoroughbred Services, Moonestone sold the colt for $270,000 to Walnut Hill Stables.
